Admin Assistant – Fairways


Location: Boscombe, Bournemouth

Contract Type: full time

Salary: £9.79 to £10.19 per hour plus enhancements

Fairways is a small friendly run, 27 bed residential care home. The whole team are welcoming and supportive of each other and we are now looking to find an experienced administrator to join the team.

You should have a good level of computer knowledge with experience of using Excel and Word and be adaptable to learning new systems.

As the front of house person, your face will be the first that visitors and new residents will see, so being presentable, friendly and welcoming is a must.

The role itself will include answering the phones and dealing with queries, welcoming people into the service and supporting LFT testing and recording; updating absence and annual leave as well as a vast amount of other duties.

There will be times where you will be supporting residents and assisting them with using the phone or making orders so patience is key.

Key responsibilities will include:

• General administrative/clerical duties.
• Producing letters, emails and reports as required.
• Providing reception cover, answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries.
• Creating and maintaining records to a high and accurate standard.

The successful candidate should have:

• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
• GCSE grade C qualifications or equivalent.
