We are proud to announce that Tricuro were winners in the Health category of the Smart Cities UK awards in London last week for our ‘virtual beach’ project which uses virtual reality to engage our clients with dementia, learning or physical disabilities. Richard Dolan, our Innovation & Technology Manager, said: “The power of VR to connect people to human experiences is vast, and our project has been about just that – the use of VR and immersive technology as a tool to create meaningful human experiences that make a difference to people’s lives, that enable us to better understand the person, their life, and how we can connect that person to something that gives them an experience that is truly person centred.”
The Smart Cities UK awards are designed to honour those organisations across the UK, Europe and the world that are demonstrating use of behaviour change, education, technology and innovation to overcome economic and social challenges. This is a fantastic achievement for us, and one that underpins our commitment to quality and innovation across our services.
