We are delighted that Tricuro’s Avon View Care and Nursing Home has once again been recognised in the Daily Echo Proud to Care Awards 2019.
The Echo’s awards celebrate the work, dedication and commitment by those working in the care sector, and there were hundreds of nominations received across the various categories.
Avon View was a finalist in the Residential/Nursing Care Home of the Year category and was awarded ‘Runner Up’ in that category. The nomination for Avon View read as follows:
‘Both my mother and mother-in-law were resident in this care home. The care and the kindness that was given to all the residents in the home, not just my mother and mother-in-law, was, and remains wonderful. This kindness comes from all staff ranging from the care staff, to the kitchen, cleaning, reception and amenities staff. Nothing is ever too much for them. This care and kindness continues on to the relatives of the residents. My mother was resident in Avon View for nearly two years and when she was coming to the end of her life, the continuing care and dedication in keeping her comfortable until the end, even though she was unresponsive, greatly helped both myself and my father through what is obviously an extremely difficult time’.
We are so proud of the positive difference our staff at Avon View make to the lives of their residents and families and are humbled by this heart-warming testimonial.
Many congratulations and thank you to all the staff at Avon View. The photograph shows Antoinette McAuliffe, Linto Koorankallookaran and Amanda Elliott at the Awards Ceremony.
