Tricuro has a range of care homes in Dorset, Bournemouth and Christchurch, all of which are Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered and have been accredited with the Gold Standard Framework for End of Life care.

Our care homes specialise in providing care for frail, older people and for those with memory loss or dementia.

We provide high quality care and support that is tailored around the person, their needs and their preferences.

We welcome residents who receive financial support from their local council and those who are privately funding their care.

Facilities and services

We provide high quality care and support in a homely environment. All our homes have welcoming communal spaces for residents to socialise in and safe outside spaces where they can relax in sensory gardens. They are all wheelchair-accessible. Each communal space has a residents’ kitchenette where they can prepare drinks and snacks if they wish and are able to do so.

We offer healthy and appetising meals, including a wide choice of foods to meet all dietary requirements.

All our staff are dementia trained. Special dementia features and facilities have been integrated into the home to enable residents with memory loss to retain their independence in a secure and welcoming environment.

For those who need it, we give palliative and end of life care which is provided by trained staff.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own small items of furniture and other belongings to personalise their rooms.

Each home has a varied programme of daily activities, including organised outings, which encourage well-being and social interaction and enjoyment.

All our homes have an on-site hairdressing salon and arrange access to local primary care services such as GPs, district nurses, dentists and other professionals like chiropodists and opticians.

Our staff

Our staff teams are experienced in working with frail, older people and those with dementia or memory loss. They are compassionate, caring, reliable and flexible, always welcoming and take time to listen to residents. Staff are trained according to their role, in line with national guidelines, to ensure they have the appropriate knowledge and skills to meet the needs of residents. Many of our staff have achieved the NVQ2 and/or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and they access ongoing training which enables them to deliver high quality services. The teams work closely with primary and secondary health care professionals across the sector, such as GPs, district nurses, occupational therapists, community psychiatric nurses and other health staff to support the needs of the residents. All our homes ensure there are adequate numbers of care, domiciliary and management staff on duty during the day and night to provide the appropriate care and support to residents.


We offer opportunities for people to become volunteers. We really value their support. Our volunteers offer as much or as little of their time as they wish and are involved in ‘behind the scenes’ activities such as administration or organising outings or events; assist with meal service or activities such as arts and crafts or music appreciation; or simply come and spend time with and have a chat with our residents.
