Night Care

The Night Care service provides a responsive and flexible night care service for a maximum of 6 weeks to adults in Bournemouth.

The Service

The service is also known as ‘Mobile Nights’. It is provided from 10.00 pm to 7.00 pm, 365 days a year, in a person’s own home, for a maximum of 6 weeks. It is part of the Bournemouth Reablement service and is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The service delivers personalised support to help people remain independent, confident and safe in their own home, either as part of a planned service or in response to an emergency.

The team can support people after a spell in hospital or support is provided to prevent them being admitted to a hospital, residential or nursing home. The team are also experienced in supporting people diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Who The Service is For

People eligible for planned visits must be residents of Bournemouth and referred by their local council.

People eligible for emergency visits must be residents of Bournemouth and referred by the out of hours service.

Support Services Provided

People are supported to

  • Get undressed and into bed
  • Turn during the night to aid sleep and recovery
  • Manage toilet requirements
  • Prepare drinks and meals independently
