Location

Weymouth Connect is set in a peaceful residential area close to local shops just outside the town centre, and on a main bus route to Weymouth and Dorchester. It is based in a light and spacious building set in gardens.

Facilities, activities and services offered

The service offers a variety of activities to support clients’ individual needs and desired outcomes, including cooking; bingo; arts and crafts; discussion groups; snooker; floor games; pamper sessions; reminiscing groups and many more. It supports clients to attend community activities such as walking groups; swimming; aquafit and ten pin bowling.

There is a flat on site which supports clients with independent living skills which are transferrable to the home environment, aiding independence.

The service offers ASDAN Towards Independence Skills modules, allowing clients with learning disabilities the opportunity to gain work related qualifications and to improve and develop literacy and numeracy skills amongst other topics.

A hairdresser is available on site on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons, for an agreed charge.
