Facilities, activities and services offered
COVID-19 UPDATE: Please be aware – due to Covid-19 some of our Day Service buildings are currently closed, however services remain in place offering buildings based services at other Tricuro locations and/or community activities. Please contact your local service for full details of the provision and locations that are currently on offer.
The service offers a lively and diverse environment. There are a wide range of activities to support people to achieve their goals and outcomes, including art and crafts; jewellery making; painting; flower arranging; cookery sessions in the specially equipped kitchen; music and singing. Pottery and craft groups are run in the well- equipped pottery room. There is a computer suite where people can learn computer skills and use computers with specialist support. The service has a dance group that performs in local shows and photography groups who display and sell their work. There is also a book club; discussions groups (both men’s and women’s) and a ‘working group’ where clients have a say in service developments.
Clients are supported to access the community and attend local ‘friendship’ groups; gym and swimming sessions at local sports centres, and the service has an allotment where they grow vegetables; fruits and flowers.
Bathing services are offered in the bathroom on site, and there are laundry facilities. Prices for this additional support service are available on request.
Support to carers
The service offers daily respite attendance to support carers, and can arrange transport for their loved ones to attend if required. It also provides carers with informal signposting and advice.
Boscombe Connect is open from 8.30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. It is closed at weekends and bank holidays.
