BBC Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman joined celebrations to mark the Green Shed’s 10th year of community support at Castle Gardens in Sherborne.
The Green Shed offers wood and craft work, along with gardening activities, to adults with dementia, memory problems and learning disabilities. Work, companionship and support underpin this successful community project, and the atmosphere at The Green Shed has developed into a place where people feel instantly at home and included.
BBC Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman chatted with clients and met Castle Gardens owner Mike Burks and the co-ordinator of The Green Shed, Barry Watts and the interviews were broadcast live on Radio Solent’s morning show.
