Tricuro is a provider of health and social care services across Dorset. We are wholly owned by Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole Councils and employ over 1,500 staff. So whilst you may not have heard our name, you will know of our services which are delivered across the whole of Dorset.
Three Dorset councils have joined forces to create a county-wide Local Authority Trading Company (LATC) – the first of its kind in the UK
Our vision is deliver
and this is the driver for all the services we deliver
To be the sought after service provider to vulnerable adults in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset. Offering quality needs led services which improve outcomes for both individuals and families; delivered by compassionate, enthusiastic and professional staff.
Through successful delivery of these services, creating efficiencies to enable continually expanding and improving services to customers.
Tricuro’s extensive range of services covers residential care homes, day opportunities, employment services and community support right across Dorset.
The creation of Tricuro offers us an exciting opportunity to work in partnership to help improve the way social care services are delivered. I look forward to working alongside colleagues to move this forward following the approval by Council.
Cllr Karen Rampton, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care, Borough of Poole
In these days of financial restraints and with a growing older population we have to look at ways we can continue to deliver our services and how we can develop them in the future. Tricuro will give us the freedom to be as adaptable and flexible as those who currently operate in the private sector whilst at the same time ensuring we are able to fulfil our commitment to providing care to those who need it.
Cllr Blair Crawford, Bournemouth’s Cabinet member for Adult Social Care
We have been looking for ways to work more closely with our colleagues in Bournemouth and Poole, and Tricuro represents a fantastic opportunity for all three authorities to transform the way they deliver social care to people across the county. By combining our high quality services and excellent staff, we can create a sustainable organisation that provides better value for money and will benefit all service users and carers across Dorset by offering greater choice and control.
Cllr Jill Haynes, Dorset County Council’s Cabinet member for Adult Social Care
